18. uge i Bordeaux

Lige nu – fredag aften – sidder jeg helt alene nede i stuen. Pigerne sover, min mand er taget et smut ind på arbejdet og vores to gæster, min svoger og hans kæreste, er taget ind til byen for at opleve Bordeaux by night. Her er helt stille, bortset fra opvaskemaskinen, der summer i baggrundet. Og jeg nyder det. Virkelig meget.

Det er første gang i over en uge, at jeg er helt alene. Jeg nyder at have gæster, ingen tvivl om det, men når man i dagligdagen er så meget alene, som jeg er vandt til, så er det godt nok også hårdt. Lige nu kan jeg derfor ikke forestille mig en bedre fredag aften, end den jeg har udsigt til. Når jeg er færdig med at skrive det her indlæg, henter jeg den halve plade chokolade, der ligger i køleskabet og så skal jeg ligge på sofaen og se det seneste afsnit af den store bagedyst. Så derfor skynder jeg mig nu til sagen.

Sidste weekend bød på dejligt sommervejr og selvom vi ikke helt nåede de 30 grader, som vi var blevet lovet, så var det lidt svært at forstå, at kalenderen sagde midt i oktober. I Bordeaux er oktober lig med byfest, hvilket er mest i øjenfaldende, når man går forbi Place des Quinqonces. Den store plads lige i centrum af byen, som vi går forbi hver gang vi skal på sørøverlegepladsen, er indtaget af et kæmpe flytbart tivoli. Hvis man forestiller sig bakken presset sammen på halvdelen af den normale plads og med lyden skruet dobbelt så højt op, har man nogenlunde en ide om, hvordan det er. Tivoliet åbner dog først ud på eftermiddagen, så selvom jeg er gået lige forbi med pigerne en del gange efterhånden, har storesøster tålmodigt måtte vente i næsten tre uger før, hun fik lov til at besøge det.

Cirka en halv time kunne jeg holde ud, så var jeg nødt til at komme væk. Jeg har ellers altid elsket tivolier og forlystelsesparker, men jeg har aldrig besøgt et med så meget larm OG med to små børn. Pigerne sad ellers veltilfredse i klapvognen og var begge vældig godt underholdt af alt det, der foregik omkring dem.

Fra tivoliet gik vi ned til floden, hvor byfesten fortsatte med en sejl konkurrence på vandet, en lille politimesse med fremvisning af bl.a. biler og våben, et motionsløb med fokus på brystkræft og et lyserødt målområde med et kvindeligt liveband, der gav den fuld gas.

Søndag kørte vi til Parc de Majolan ca. en halv time nord for der, hvor vi bord. Begge pigerne sov læææænge (så længe at vi var lidt i tvivl om ville kunne nå ud og hjem igen inden frokost) og vejrudsigten var ikke den bedste, så det var faktisk lige før, at vi bare blev hjemme. Men hvor var det godt, vi kom af sted. Vejret var fantastisk, parken var vidunderlig og vi havde et par skønne timer. Grotten der ses til højre i billedet var fuld af små snørklede gange, som storesøster var helt opslugt af at gå på opdagelse i.

Mandag eftermiddag kom min ældste og bedste veninde på besøg hjemmefra. Hun var her indtil torsdag aften og nåede at besøge ikke mindre end fem forskellige legepladser og selvfølgelig også vandpytten (aka le miroir d’eau). Efterårsferie er ikke et begreb de bruger hernede, så min stakkels mand har været på arbejde hele ugen. Til gengæld har jeg nydt lidt kvalitetstid med min skønne veninde, der heldigvis også er udstyret med et par særdeles hjælpsomme og børnekyndig hænder.

Min veninde rejste hjem igen sent i går aftes og omkring frokosttid i dag ankom min svoger og hans kæreste. De skal være her indtil mandag og vi glæder os til endnu engang at vise skønne Bordeaux frem her i weekenden. Jeg slutter (endnu en gang fristes man måske til at sige) med et par billeder af vandpytten fra den forgangne uge.
