23. uge i Bordeaux

Lørdag i sidste weekend sagde vi farvel til min søster og hendes kæreste, der havde været på besøg i nogle dage.

Søndag var vi en tur forbi en gammel svømmehal i en nærliggende forstad, på opfordring fra nogle af vores udlejers venner. Svømmehallen åbnede tilbage i 1932 og er siden blevet opdateret og har fået et nyt bassin. Det gamle bassin er blevet tømt for vand og lavet om til en slags forhindringsbane, der er åben for både børn og voksne.

Det var et hit for storesøster og min mand, der begge fik brændt en hel del energi af, mens vi var der og lillesøster og jeg var vældig godt underholdt af at kigge på dem. Mens vi legede fik solen varmet luften op udenfor og på vejen hjem gjorde vi et lille stop ved en sø, der (selvfølgelig) havde en lille legeplads med en helt fantastik udsigt.

I løbet af ugen har vejret været meget skiftende. Vi har både haft regn og kulde, hvilket (til storesøster store glæde) har betydet, at vi har besøgt det indendørs legeland med trampolinerne hele to gange i denne uge. Men vi har også haft flot solskinvejr og torsdag eftermiddag rundede vi ovenikøbet de 20 grader så storesøster konkluderede at “det er alt, alt, aaaalt for varmt til at have jakke på”. Om formiddagen, som dog var en anelse køligere, besøgte vi sørøverlegepladsen for første gang i meget, meget lang tid og den skuffer altså bare aldrig. Selv karrusellen var åben og selvom vi har en aftale om, at storesøster kun må prøve den i weekenden, så gjorde jeg en undtagelse og betalte for en tur.

Ellers har ugen dog været en af de mere udfordrende af slagsen. Lillesøster har (igen, igen) haft et par nætter i træk, hvor hun er vågnet alt for mange gange (i nat sov hun heldigvis fint) og begge pigerne har været ramt af en seriøs omgang dårlig mave.

I slutningen af sidste uge stod opvaskemaskinen af og vores søde udlejer, som havde svært ved at forstille sig hvordan vi skulle overleve med to små børn og ingen opvaskemaskine, købte fluks en ny, der blev leveret og installeret tirsdag. Onsdag var der en håndværker på besøg for at fikse pillefyrret i vores udlejers bolig (vi har heldigvis haft varme hele tiden). Og torsdag var det så vores store amerikanske kølefryseskab, der pludselig satte ud og lækkede vand ud over hele køkkengulvet. Heldigvis fik vi gang i det igen, dog ser det ud til, at vi må undvære isklumper de sidste par uger.

Om tre uger er vi hjemme i Danmark igen og jeg glæder mig helt ubeskriveligt meget. Jeg glæder mig især til at se venner og familie igen og til at holde jul med dem, til at kunne snakke med ekspedienten i netto og til, at vi får vores helt almindelige hverdag tilbage med vuggestue, arbejde (eller forsøg på et finde et i hvert fald) og familiefødselsdage i weekenderne. Men jo nærmere vi kommer hjemrejsedatoen, jo mere ville jeg også ønske, at vi kunne blive her for evigt. Jeg er vild med byen og jeg er sikker på, at der stadig er nogle legepladser og andre små skjulte perler, vi endnu ikke har fundet. Jeg er vild med al den tid, jeg har med pigerne (også selvom jeg nogle gange ønsker mig bare 10 minutters fred) og jeg ved, at det bliver usandsynlig hårdt, når jeg skal til at undvære dem en hel lang arbejdsdag. Og jeg er vild med, at alle vores weekender starter med spørgsmålet “hvad har vi aller mest lyst til at lave i dag?” og at de foregår med kun os 4 sammen. Jeg kommer virkelig til at savne vores mange timers kvalitets-familietid. Heldigvis har vi tre uger endnu og når vi kommer hjem, starter vi blødt ud med en lang juleferie og derefter holder min mand en god lang barsel.
